When you have the will, you will make the way (or the ride in my case). Pune to Bangalore is around 800 odd km. But when you haven’t met some of your childhood buddies in about 20 years, you go out of the way to make the meet-up happen.
And when you are a rider, you use the opportunity to ride to the destination. So started a ride that stretched more than 850km one way. There are more than 100 moving parts on a motorcycle. More than 100 reasons to fail (101 is you count the rider as well) but only 1 reason to succeed. The joy of meeting your buddies and having fun with them pushed me all the way to Bengaluru. All the hard work in the gym also helped my body cope with the trauma of our highways. A long, long ride but a fun and adventurous one indeed.
P.S - I missed recording the famous Bengaluru traffic, By the time I reached the city, my GoPro battery has died. And the rest of the days, I really didn’t feel like recording.
Some stats of the ride - Total KMs covered - 1730 km Ride time - 14 hours each side, including all the breaks. Fuel stops - 7 GoPro footage - 32 GB card full Average speed - ~ 100kmph Top Speed - cant disclose.
