The rain Gods must have seen my video from last week and sent us some much-needed rains. And then it rains continuously for 3 days, and you pray, not on a Sunday.
You wake up early and check outside the window, and hear the raindrops, and suddenly there’s a sadness. But nevertheless, you gear up, and start your ride; and you are drenched, and you haven’t even done 1 km. You hope better things are over the horizon, and you ride.
Midway - you are not bothered about how wet you are, but you try and avoid potholes, waterlogged roads, and there comes a car and you see a puddle right in front of you. What do you do? You can’t slow down as there are vehicles behind you. Check out the video to see what happens.
Destination - You’ve been riding for close to 1.5 hrs in the rain, and now you don’t feel like taking your riding gear off. Not because you are uncomfortable, because it will not get back on. So you turn around and ride all the way back home, in the same drenching rain.
Home - You take off your clothes, and there it is. The first one, followed by a couple more. The dreaded sneezes. You clean up, take a hot shower, and a hot cup of tea, and hoped if your “Behind” was fire tolerant, you could very well sit on the gas. It indeed would have been fantastic. All the riding in the rain was fun, but I now have a cold. But that’s fine, it was worth it. It was Z’s first ride in the showers. And the first of many to follow. aaaaaaaaccccchhhhhhooooooooo….
P.S - Spent an hour in the evening washing away the mud from The Z, using cold tap water. Yeah, so much for the cold.
