Matheran is a popular hill station and tourist destination spot. It’s been more than 17 years since I last visited Matheran. We decided to ride to see and experience the place.
We knew that we would only be able to go till the parking spot there, beyond which no vehicles are allowed. We were not sure about the road conditions, but we were not disappointed at all. In fact, we were surprised to find good roads all the way till Matheran.
At the destination, 11 superbikes drew a lot of attention, and hence we decided to quickly turn around and ride back down. The winding roads were steep and filled with hairpin turns. Both uphill and downhill drive was precarious and with idiotic folks (like the one at 05:08 in the video) you always have to be doubly careful.
We had super fun clicking pictures and the ride was superb, to say the least. A Sunday morning well spent, and another memorable ride.
