Malshej ghat as a ride destination has been on the list for a very long time. Monsoons are the best time to visit it, but due to landslide concerns, most of the times we have been avoiding it.
We decided the time is now ripe to take a bold step and actually make it happen. And that’s what we did. A post on the group turned out to be quite a hit with 14 of the folks agreeing to ride.
11 of them turned up and whoever did, truly enjoyed the ride. The roads were excellent (we went through Alephata) and the views were simply breathtaking. Bonus, we got a free bike wash under a waterfall ( AWWEEESSSOOOOMMMEEEE).
I left the camera “on” unknowingly, and it drained the battery. So I couldn’t capture a lot of good footage and fun we had at the destination. The place was covered in clouds, so we couldn’t really see far.
This destination definitely begs another visit, and once the monsoons subside, we do plan to ride once again here.
